Best Greek Without a doubt the best Greek food in all of Milwaukee. Walking in to the Palace you with find that you order your food at the counter. Right behind the cashier is the grill which almost always has something cooking on it. Your food is made to order on the spot so you will get your meal hot and fresh. Let me point out that although your food is made quickly it does not have the pre-cooked fast food look. If you have a chance try the "Palace Combo" but you can count on taking some home. With your Combo you get Chicken, Steak, Gyro meat, pita and your choice of having a salad, rice or fries. I can't think of another place (but if you can let us know) that gives you more meat on a plate than of course the 32oz steak at the Prime Quarter at a better price. The cucumber sauce that you use on your Gyro is also some of the best in Milwaukee. Of course the Gyro Palace also has gyros with enough meat for two pitas, jumbo burgers similar to Kopps and for dessert great baklava. Here are a couple coupons that make it more than worth going. Runner Up: Oakland Gyros, Golden Gyros

Best Fish Fry Clifford's Supper Club fish fry is served in a large hall that reminds you of a church fish fry in the basement with long tables strung together. The battered fish is served fresh, quick and hot. Although we have all had the fish fry where there is more batter and grease than fish Clifford's offers a large pieces of flakey fish in a light batter without being too greasy. With your meal you get about a pound of French fries, coleslaw and rye bread.
Best Fish Fry (Steamed) St. Martin's Inn is clearly the winner of the best fish fry steamed but they also have a great atmosphere and friendly staff. St. Martin's Inn has a small dining area but the staff defiantly keeps things moving. Even if you do have to wait it will be well worth your time. Although they do offer the traditional "fry" the steamed fish really stands out. The steamed fish I had was large, moist, flakey, fresh in flavor and well seasoned. You have a choice between fries or potato pancakes but I would really recommend you get the potato pancakes. Although you only get one pancake it is large, thick and served with a side of applesauce. Overall the meal is very satisfying and well worth the money.
Best Chinese
Today's Chinese food has taken a turn for the worst with the all you can eat
buffet. These buffets offer not so fresh food normally covered in a sweet or
gravy "goop". No need to worry about "goop" as you will find that the
Emperor offers some of the freshest Chinese food I have had to date. The
decor of the restaurant has a Asian theme but gives you a feeling of peace
and calm from the fastest pace world we live in. Their menu gives you a wide
variety of choices from chicken, beef, pork, seafood and vegetables. The
crab ragoons as a appetizer were crisp, served with a sweet sauce and hot
mustard. I have
tried a dish in each of the categories and I was impressed by each one.
Each dish for dinner is enough for two people while lunches are a little
smaller but enough to even take some home. I would highly recommend the
Emperor for lunch or dinner to anyone.
